So last Christmas my wonderful husband surprised me with the gift of an overseas holiday to the USA. According to him it covers Christmas, Birthdays, and our 15th wedding anniversary! When I was in my twenties I did the three month visit to England/Eupore and as much as I would love to go back there it has been a dream to visit New York and explore the other side of the world. We visited Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. I have not been obsessed with the travel bug like some people are, but when I do travel it is like I am a kid in a candy shop. I just love it once I am there.
This is the first of my travel posts - I assure you there will be more! Before leaving the shores of Australia I found out about this amazing chocolate bar called Dandelion Chocolate. They are a small batch chocolate factory located in the Mission District of San Francisco who source, roast and produce all their own hand wrapped chocolate bars. They also have a chef producing the most mouth watering decadent treats. We were lucky to be there in one of their quite moments and the lovely lady on the counter gave us a mini tour about how they arrive at their end product. They sort all their Cacao beans by hand! We were also given some fantastic tips on places to visit within the Mission District which is filled with individual and quirky shops and this was definitely our favourite day in San Francisco. Can you guess what meal we forfeited to indulge in these decadent treats?
